"A pair of thick woolen socks": Harry knows next to nothing about Dumbledore’s life. In the Daily Prophet newspaper, Harry rereads an obituary of Dumbledore written by Albus’s old school friend Elphias Doge, and feels betrayed. Keepsakes include the Marauder’s Map and R.A.B.'s locket. He discards most of his possessions and packs an old rucksack. At number four, Privet Drive, Harry cleans out his trunk.
